Build Your Legacy
Have a lasting impact by including USA of UNFPA in your estate plans.
A planned gift today will benefit future generations of women and girls with lifesaving sexual and reproductive health care and will define your legacy as one of health, dignity, and care. We are pleased to invite those who make a planned gift to join our Legacy Society, in which members receive opportunities to attend special events and briefings and to engage with a community of like-minded supporters committed to being there for every woman and girl for years to come.

Types of Legacy Gifts

Wills and Living Trusts
A charitable bequest consists of one or two sentences in your will or living trust that leaves a specific item, an amount of money, a gift contingent upon certain events, or a percentage of your estate to USA for UNFPA.
You may leave a bequest to USA for UNFPA by adding to an existing will or drafting a new one. You can also designate USA for UNFPA to receive a specific dollar amount or property, a percentage of your estate, or the residual after other designations are fulfilled.
We have invested in a trusted partnership with FreeWill to make it simple and completely free for our supporters to create or update a legal will gift online. You can also make arrangements with your legal advisor.

Retirement Plans and IRAs
Retirement plan assets, those in qualified plans and IRAs, are ideal for charitable giving purposes as these assets are often heavily taxed when passed to non-spouse beneficiaries. Depending on your specific circumstances, you may be able to donate from your IRA, or name USA for UNFPA as a beneficiary of your retirement plan or IRA.
To complete your gift, simply contact your retirement plan or IRA administrator and request to complete a distribution or beneficiary designation form – including obtaining your spouse’s consent if required. You choose the percentage or dollar amount you would like us to receive. Then mail it back to the plan administrator and keep a copy for your records.

Life Insurance
Giving through life insurance is one of the easiest ways to make a significant contribution to USA for UNFPA and establish your legacy of giving. Regardless of whether you already have a policy or are acquiring a new one, you can simply designate USA for UNFPA as a beneficiary.
