Kim Abuelhaj (she/her) is the Director of Individual Giving at USA for UNFPA, where she leads strategy and growth for the organization’s individual giving program in support of sexual and reproductive health and rights worldwide.

Kim brings nearly 15 years of experience in direct response fundraising, having raised nearly $18 million for nonprofit organizations nationwide. Prior to joining USA for UNFPA, she served as Senior Director of Annual Giving and Membership at GLAAD, the world’s largest LGBTQ media advocacy organization, where she led integrated direct mail and digital fundraising strategies.

A specialist in building sustainable, community-driven fundraising programs, Kim has deep expertise in integrated direct mail and digital marketing, audience segmentation, building donor loyalty, and using data to guide fundraising strategy. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Direct Marketing Fundraisers Association (DMFA) and is a frequent speaker at nonprofit and fundraising conferences.

Kim’s passion for fundraising began during her time as a Peace Corps volunteer in Burkina Faso, where she worked as a grant administrator in addition to her role as a Girls Education and Empowerment Coordinator.
